Jason and Kari's Wedding guitar

My husbands cousin Kari married her long time boyfriend, and allowed both my huband and I to stand up. I painted her this guitar to show how their lifes merged together.
Jason loved guitars, Kari loves cats and fairies. Their wedding colors were black, red, and white.
This was so far the LARGEST picture I did.

This was done on a 48x16" masonite panel with acrylics.

Val's Sandhill Cranes

My stepmom loves the sandhill cranes that show up in her back yard. I made her a quick picture for her birthday to always remember them by.

This was a 12x12" on a 1/4" canvas board in acrylics.

Christmas snowmen 2010

This was the first picture I ever painted off the top of my head.  I had no other pictures to guide me...and for me that is very difficult. I am NOT an abstract painter. I can not just paint whatever comes into my head.  I NEED something to look at to make sure I am doing it right. So this was very hard for me. It took me about 2 1/2 hours, but I was stressing the entire time.  We wanted something to put over the fireplace with our snowman, so this is what I came up with.

It is done on a 12x12" older picture that I found at goodwill. I hated the picture but loved the frame. It was done with acrylics and a heat gun to speed up the drying time.

Reilly's stuffed animals

Reilly has 2 stuffed animals that are his favorite. For his christmas present 2009, he wanted a picture of his stuffed animals.  This is what turned out.

This was done on a  12x12" on a 1/4" canvas board with acrylics.

Randy's Scorpion

This was Randy's 32nd birthday gift (2010). Remember he likes black and yellow, and scorpions.  He LOVED this!

This was done on a 18x20" on a 1" canvas board with acrylics.

My FIRST Painting, Randy's birthday present

This is what started me with painting. I had lost my job about a month before my husbands 31st birthday. We were already on a tight budget before I lost my job and I didn't want him to go without a present. I figured I could paint him something, and really hoped it would work. He LOVES Scorpions and is a Scorpio (surprise surprise). The top part says SCORPIO, and the middle sign says FAMILY. His favorite colors are black and yellow. It was done on a 24x8" on a 1" canvas board with acrylics.

Noahs Diego and Pablo, Princess Ava, and Vals Butterflies

The first one is a picture of Diego and Pablo on a deserted island. It was for my (then) 4 year old for Christmas 2009. They were his two favorite cartoons and his room is full of their stuff. This picture tied it all together. This is a 12x12" on a 1/4" canvas board in acrylics.

The next one is a picture I painted for my cousin for her baby shower. She was having a girl and didn't like the color pink, so I figured every little girl needs to feel like a princess, so I used the princess from "Princess and the Frog" and made her dress purple. Since she was naming her daughter Ava, that is what I wrote. However, when her daughter was borned, she changed the name, so now I will fix it for her :D

This was am 18x20" on a 1" canvas board, done in acrylics.

This was a painting for my stepmom for Christmas 2009. She has always loved butterflies and just painted her room purple. This was done on a 24x8" on a 1" canvas board in acrylics.

Winter Fairy

This was a picture that was ordered by a friend at work. She had a fall fairy picture that she wanted for a winter theme. This was a HUGE undertaking for me, since I am not good at painting people. Not sure why, but I really struggle when it comes to people. We were both very happy on how it turned out.

REMINDER: THE FALL FAIRY IS A PRINTOUT, NOT A PICTURE I PAINTED.

This was a 10x10" on a 1/4" canvas board with acrylics. It was $20.

Reilly's Racecar

This was a picture for my sons 8th birthday this year (2010). He loves cars and picked out his favorite matchbox car from his room. If you look closely at the hood of his car and at the back of his car, it says his name REILLY and 8 for his birthday.

This was done on a 16x16" prestretched canvas board. it is 1/4 inch thick. Done with acrylics

Pokemon pictures....

Thought I would start saving my finished paintings here to show...the first ones are the "pokemon" ones I made for my boys.

This was Orion's picture. He picked his two favorite Pokemon. The one on the left is a "fire" pokemon named Infernape. The one on the right is a "dark" pokemon called Tyranitar.

This was a Christmas Present for Orion for 2009.

The next 3 were for Easton for Christmas 2009.  The one of the left is Starly. The middle one is Staravia (the next evolution), and the one on the right is Staraptor (the final evolution). This was Easton's favorite Pokemon, going through the evolutions in the game.

Both of these pictures are 24" wide, 8" tall, and 1" thick. both are done on prestretched canvas boards with acrylics.
